A lesson learned. You know old bargain shopper me. I could not make myself pay $ 4.97 for 5 pounds of corn meal in Alaska. Looked on the shelf just below the meal and found BARGAIN Jiffy mix. Northwest Airlines was kind enough not to damage my luggage since the Mayfield milk was traveling first class. Made it just fine and we used every drop.
Mix all ingredients. You may have to adjust the milk ... a little more or less. Ad a little melted Crisco to the finished batter and begin dropping spoonfuls into hot grease. I use the large size frying pan and let it sit in the oven while I fry more. Yum! Yum! This is the first time I had ever used FRESH Salmon. Everyone loved it.
